Rick is the Managing Principal of Evergreen’s CFO/Consulting & Corporate Finance Practice.  He is a reformed lawyer who has been a serial entrepreneur for 25 years.  During his career as both a CFO and CEO of public and private companies, Rick has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, public and private corporate finance, financial management, marketing, sales and operations of technology, health care, manufacturing and real estate businesses.

In addition to his role with Evergreen, he currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of The Cornerstone Professional Group, LLC and StarQuartz Industries, Inc.  Included in his  entrepreneurial finance experience are two IPO’s (Sequoia Software and TheraTx), an MBO from Loral Corporation and M&A transactions involving Citrix Systems and Viacom, in addition to private equity transactions with Warburg Pincus, Baker Capital, Core Capital and Anthem Capital.  Rick began his professional career at Baltimore law firm, Gebhardt & Smith where he eventually became a partner and practiced commercial banking law with specialties in real estate and telecommunications.

Rick’s charitable organization involvement includes being a member of the Boards of Directors of Antioch Network of Phoenix, AR and Norlink International of Baltimore, as well as being an Elder at Grace Fellowship Church in Timonium, MD.  He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Towson University, and both an MBA and JD from University of Baltimore.
